The area has been described as an "environmental catastrophe".
Journalist visited the scene and reported the mound appeared to be "twenty feet in height at least".

Fly-tippers have deposited a mountain of rubbish in a open space in Oxfordshire.

The "environmental catastrophe developing in full view" is around 150m (490ft) in length and 6m (20ft) in height.

The enormous pile has materialized in a field alongside the River Cherwell in the vicinity of Kidlington.

A local MP brought up the issue in parliament, stating it was "risking an environmental emergency".

Protection organization stated the illegal rubbish dump was established around a recently by an organised crime group.

"This constitutes an environmental catastrophe developing in full view.

"Each day that elapses elevates the risk of poisonous drainage reaching the river system, polluting animals and endangering the health of the entire catchment.

"The Environment Agency must take action immediately, not in extended periods, which is their usual response period."

A restriction order had been put in place by the regulatory body.

It is difficult to distinguish any particular pieces of garbage as it appears to have been pulverized with dirt combined.

Some of the garbage from the uppermost part of the pile has collapsed and is now just five metres from the river.

The River Cherwell is a tributary of the River Thames, which means it flows through Oxford before meeting the Thames.

The representative requested the government for help to clear the illegal site before it triggered a fire or was swept into the water network.

Speaking to parliament members on this week, he stated: "Criminals have discarded a huge quantity of unauthorized plastic waste... weighing hundreds of tonnes, in my constituency on a water-adjacent land alongside the River Cherwell.

"Stream volumes are increasing and heatmaps show that the waste is also warming, raising the danger of blaze.

"Environmental authorities stated it has restricted resources for regulation, that the estimated cost of disposal is higher than the entire twelve-month funding of the municipal authority."

Cabinet member commented the administration had taken over a underperforming recycling sector that had resulted in an "widespread problem of illegal dumping".

She told parliament members the agency had issued a prohibition notice to stop additional entry to the site.

In a declaration, the authority said it was examining the situation and asked for evidence.

It said: "We acknowledge the citizens' anger about situations like this, which is why we respond against those accountable for environmental offenses."

A newly released investigation determined initiatives to tackle significant waste crime have been "critically neglected" notwithstanding the issue developing into more extensive and more complex.

Government advisors suggested an independent "thorough" investigation into how "prevalent" waste crime is tackled.
