British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Fatal Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, Nigerian authorities stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident near Lagos on Monday, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, representatives had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the passing of his two close friends.”

His release from the hospital follows the sports world shared sympathy for the star in the following the devastating accident.
